Activities
International cooperation with overseas institutions and universities
Our hospital encourages exchanges with overseas medical institutions and universities in order to foster international joint clinical trials and research. For example, in March 2019 we signed an agreement with Yantai Hospital in Yantai, China to raise the level of medical care in both institutions by cooperating through joint research efforts and by employing a larger number of physicians. In addition, researcher exchanges were begun with the University of South Florida in 1989; in October 2016, an academic exchange agreement was signed between the University of South Florida School of Medicine and the Gifu University Graduate School of Medicine and Gifu University Health Administration Center.In order to improve the environment for people with diabetes in South Korea, we began an exchange with the Korean Insulin Dependent Diabetes Association (KIDDA) (Note 1) in September 2023.（Note 1: The Korean Insulin Dependent Diabetes Association (KIDDA) is an organization whose goal is to promote social empathy and improved awareness for children with diabetes so that they can grow up in school and society without facing discrimination. ）
